HORSEBACK RIDING LESSON PROGRAM AT

BLACK HORSE STABLE

 

Arthur Stafford Taylor, owner of Black Horse Stable in Hillsborough is proud to offer the Hillsborough Township Parks & Recreation a trial session of its popular horseback riding lesson program. Black Horse Stable offers all levels of horses, including gentle horses for beginners, and a professionally trained staff.  At the end of the 4 week trial session, the student will be comfortable enough in the saddle to be able to handle a horse on trail rides or at camp,  will be proficient at a posting trot and will be ready to advance into our full lesson program, . In addition to riding, the student will learn hands on how to work around horses on the ground, grooming, tacking, and cooling down. Certified helmets will be provided. No other equipment is necessary, but proper clothing must be worn. This includes long pants (no capris or shorts) and work boots or hiking boots (no cowboy boots please). Sneakers are discouraged for safety reasons but may be worn. Scheduling will be handled individually based on availability in the following time slots:
